01. Guardians Of Galaxy Vol.3
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 came out this year. It’s a Marvel superhero movie made by Marvel Studios and Disney. James Gunn wrote and directed it, just like the previous Guardians movies.
Chris Pratt, Chukwudi Iwuji, and Brandley Cooper starred in it. Their characters are members of the Guardians of the Galaxy team. In this one, the Guardians go on a mission to protect Rocket, played by Cooper, from a villain called the High Evolutionary, played by Iwuji.

This Guardians of the Galaxy movie was a big hit. It made over $673 million worldwide, which made it the third highest-earning movie of 2023. Both critics and audiences seemed to really like it too. So it looks like the Guardians saved the day again in their latest adventure!
2. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is the next Marvel movie on our list. Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly play the main characters. It was released in 2023 and is based on a Marvel comic character. This movie follows Ant-Man (2015) and Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018). It was made by Marvel Studios and released by Disney. Peyton Reed directed it. In the movie, Scott Lang, Hope Van Dyne, Scott’s daughter Cassie, and Hope’s parents get taken into the Quantum Realm. There they have to face off against Kang the Conqueror. 3. John Wick: Chapter 4
The new John Wick movie came out this year, huh? I heard it was really good! Chad Stahelski was the director. He’s done all the John Wick films so far, right? Always delivers with the action.
The main guys in it were Keanu Reeves as John Wick, of course – you can’t have a John Wick movie without him. Donnie Yen was also in it, he’s awesome. And Ian McShane returned as the guy who runs the hotel for assassins.
From what I understand, in this one Wick has to take down the High Table, which is like the big boss group that runs the whole assassin underworld. But before he can really be free, he runs into a new enemy. This guy has connections all around the world and even gets some of Wick’s old friends to turn against him.
Sounds like Wick has his work cut out for him this time. Can’t wait to check it out myself! The reviews said it was really entertaining so I’m sure it’ll be a fun watch. Just hope Wick makes it out in one piece again!
4. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves
Next up we’ve got Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley directed this fantasy heist comedy flick. Some of the big names in it are Hugh Grant, Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith, Michelle Rodriguez, Sophia Lillis, and Chris Pine.
The basic plot is, a charming thief teams up with some unlikely adventurers on a quest to find a stolen artifact. But things go sideways when they run into the wrong crowd.
It did really well too, making over $207 million worldwide at the box office. Reviews from critics and regular folks who saw it were also good. For the year 2023, it ended up being the 10th highest grossing movie.

In the movie, Dom has to protect his family from Dante Reyes. Dante wants revenge after losing his family’s money and his dad.

6. The Little Mermaid
The Little Mermaid movie is directed by Rob Marshall. It was written by David Magee. This movie is a live-action remake of the 1989 Disney animated film.
Disney Pictures, Lucamar Productions, and Marc Platt Productions made the movie. Halle Bailey plays Ariel the mermaid. Melissa McCarthy and Jonah Hauer-King are also in it.
The story is about Ariel the mermaid princess. She loves the human world. To try and win Prince Eric’s love, she makes a deal with the sea witch Ursula. Ariel trades her voice for human legs. Prince Eric was saved from a shipwreck.
7. Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One
The new Mission: Impossible movie called Dead Reckoning Part One is coming out soon. It is directed by Christopher McQuarrie, who also co-wrote it. This will be the seventh Mission: Impossible film.
The movie stars Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt. Ethan is part of a group called the IMF who go on secret missions. In this one, Ethan and his team have to find a dangerous weapon before bad guys can get it. They need to stop the weapon from falling into the wrong hands.
Hayley Atwell and Ving Rhames also have important roles in the movie. Hayley plays a new character and Ving returns as Benji Dunn, who has been in previous Mission: Impossible movies.

This is the sequel to last year’s Dune, continuing the adaptation of Frank Herbert’s classic novel. Timothée Chalamet returns as Paul Atreides, along with Zendaya as Chani and Rebecca Ferguson.
The movie will pick up Paul’s story after joining with Chani and the Fremen people. Seeking vengeance for his family’s murder, Paul will have to outwit his enemies. But he also sees a terrible future that only he can prevent. Warner Bros has slated Dune: Part Two for November 3rd, 2023. Should be an epic conclusion! Denis did such an amazing job with the first one, can’t wait to see how he wraps up the story.
9. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom comes out at the end of 2023 and it looks really good. It’s a superhero movie based on the Aquaman character from DC Comics. Jason Momoa plays Aquaman again with Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe and others. James Wan directs the movie.
In the movie, Aquaman has to save the underwater city of Atlantis. Something ancient is unleashed and threatens to destroy Atlantis. The movie is based on a book about Oppenheimer. It stars big names like Cillian Murphy as Oppenheimer, Matt Damon, and Emily Blunt. Cillian Murphy will play the lead role of Oppenheimer. The film will show Oppenheimer’s career and his work overseeing the laboratory in Los Alamos. That’s where scientists developed the atomic bombs that were then used at the end of the war.
